Natural Mind Meditation

History and Benefits

Meditation can be traced back to the very beginning of human history. There are many kinds of meditation using a variety of techniques. We practice Natural Mind Meditation™, which is the Taoist technique of calming, relaxing and stilling the mind. It is based upon the Taoist classics: “Tao Te Ching”, “The Cultivation of Reality” and “Sitting and Forgetting” which state that our natural mind is one of peace and consciousness. This original state of mind is rooted in the eternal “Tao”, or "Way" of ultimate reality. The true and conscious mind is within us at all times, but we have simply covered it up with agitation, misconceptions and desires. By letting our minds settle back down to its original point of stillness, we return to a place of creative wisdom. This still point rejuvenates and energizes both mind and body as it opens all blockage of “Chi” or Life Energy. Stillness of mind is the place of true power, where the “Will” can be launched to take action and make life changes. The calm and still mind gives us a new and vibrant perspective to ourselves and of life.
