Form Correction - Continued practice and study of the 37-posture set develops relaxation, alignment and balance. Further concentration and expansion of Tai Chi principles are emphasized while coordination and unification of the body provides a rigorous and stimulating exercise. Standing Meditation techniques are introduced. Tai Chi philosophy and Taoist thought are further discussed in relationship to self-cultivation. For continuing students able to perform the complete 37-posture set. A comprehensive on-going class. Sensing Hands Practice (sensing energy exercise) - This two-person exercise applies Tai Chi principles to the awareness and movement of the energy between two people in order to develop "Listening Energy." While working with a partner the focus is on practicing with a sensitive, conscious state of mind, moving in perfect synchronization while emptying the body of tension and stabilizing your own center. The ability to listen allows one to neutralize incoming force without resistance or the use of muscular force. The self-defense application is that by remaining relaxed after neutralizing an incoming force, one can follow the tension of that force, back to off-balance an opponent. For continuing students (pre-requisite: 3 months of Form Correction class) - ongoing. Continuing Student Rates: When paying monthly, fees are due on same day of the month as the enrollment date (example: enrollment date is May 9th; monthly dues to be paid on or before the 9th of each month thereafter). Term rates can be made by initial installment with the balance paid within 30 days, or by arrangement.
